Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient movement of goods, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of products. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, order fulfillment, and equipment operation will drive seamless logistics operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where precision and teamwork are essential for success.

Duties

Manage the receipt of incoming shipments by verifying quantities and inspecting for damages using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload trucks, transport stock within the warehouse, and prepare orders for shipment.
Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipping using proper packaging techniques to ensure product safety during transit.
Utilize warehouse management systems such as AS400 or MRP software to track inventory levels, update stock records, and process order data efficiently.
Conduct regular stock replenishment activities by stocking shelves accurately and maintaining organized storage areas aligned with warehouse distribution standards.
Assist with order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms by picking items swiftly using RF scanners and ensuring timely dispatch.
Maintain safety standards during all operations by adhering to proper load & unload procedures and operating equipment responsibly.

Qualifications

Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures.
Valid certification in forklift operation; experience with reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers is highly preferred.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar ERP/MRP software.
Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing.
Experience with order picking & packing for both bulk distribution and e-commerce orders.
Knowledge of warehouse distribution best practices including stocking, load & unload procedures, and safety protocols.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
