Full Job Description

About Us

Technical Arts Group (TAG) provides professional Audio, Video, Lighting, Rigging, and Staging services for major live events, tours, venues, festivals, and corporate productions nationwide.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse General Manager to take full ownership of our New Jersey warehouse operation. This is a senior leadership role overseeing multiple departments, department managers, and warehouse personnel.

The right person must be a confident leader who can set expectations, make decisions, address problems directly, and hold managers and employees accountable. This position requires an active presence on the warehouse floor—not someone who manages from behind a desk.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations across all warehouse departments, including Audio, Video, Lighting, Staging, Rigging, Cable, and Check-In.
Lead department managers and hold them accountable for productivity, quality, attendance, and performance.
Establish daily priorities and ensure assignments are completed accurately and on time.
Ensure all outbound equipment is properly prepared, tested, packed, and show-ready.
Ensure returned equipment is checked in promptly and missing or damaged gear is reported.
Coordinate workflow with Project Management, Logistics, and department leadership.
Manage staffing, scheduling, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary matters.
Enforce company procedures, safety requirements, and operational standards.
Maintain an organized, clean, safe, and efficient warehouse.
Identify operational problems and implement effective solutions.
Provide regular updates to the Director of Operations.

Qualifications

At least 7 years of warehouse or operations management experience.
At least 5 years managing supervisors or multi-department teams.
Proven ability to lead employees, enforce standards, and create accountability.
Strong decision-making, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems.
Live event production, entertainment, staging, or equipment rental experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of RentalWorks and professional production equipment is a plus.
Valid driver’s license required.

Schedule and Physical Requirements

Monday through Friday, with evenings and weekends as production schedules require.
Must be able to work throughout an active warehouse and regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
