Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Patient Care Technician Instructor to join our educational team. In this vital role, you will lead the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs for aspiring patient care technicians, ensuring they acquire the essential skills and knowledge to excel in healthcare environments. Your expertise will empower students to deliver exceptional patient care across diverse settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the next generation of healthcare professionals through engaging instruction and curriculum innovation.

Duties

Deliver engaging classroom and clinical instruction on topics such as medical terminology, patient care techniques, care plans, and documentation review
Supervise students during hands-on clinical practice in teaching hospitals or healthcare facilities to ensure safe and effective skill acquisition
Evaluate student performance through assessments, practical exams, and ongoing feedback to support their professional growth
Integrate learning technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Blackboard to enhance educational delivery and track progress
Collaborate with hospital staff, nursing teams, and administrative personnel to coordinate clinical placements and ensure compliance with accreditation standards
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and competency documentation in accordance with institutional policies

Skills

Proven supervising experience in healthcare education or clinical settings with a focus on adult learning principles
Familiarity with curriculum development, research methodologies, and higher education teaching standards
Proficiency in medical terminology, phlebotomy procedures, and documentation review processes
Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds while fostering a supportive learning environment
Critical care experience including ICU or emergency department exposure is highly desirable
Excellent classroom experience combined with strong communication skills for engaging adult learners

- Part Time

- Must be a PCT technician with at least 2 years experience

- Must be bilingual (English & Spanish)
