About Us:

Quality Greens Kitchen merges the worlds of fast-casual and fine dining, offering health-conscious comfort food. Open since October 2017, QGK has two locations (Hoboken & Downtown Brooklyn), and services the broader NY Metro area via our Catering business. Our existing client list includes over two dozen Fortune 500 C-suites/executive teams, along with elite professional sports franchises. Since opening, QGK has been recognized with several awards/recognitions, most notably:

- Hoboken Chamber of Commerce - New Business of the Year (2018)
- Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce - Best of BK Showcase (2024); 1 of 2 awarded in the F&B category
- Hoboken Zoning Board - Construction Project of the Year (2018)

Position Overview:

The Catering Manager oversees all aspects of catering, with a primary focus on generating new business and sales growth. Secondary responsibilities include client communication/retention, networking, staffing, and execution.

This role requires strong leadership, a passion for hospitality, ability to generate sales, and the ability to thrive in NYC’s fast-paced event environment. This is, first-and-foremost, a sales position. Applicant must have a demonstrated track record of achieving significant catering sales growth in prior roles and bring with them a rolodex of potential clients within the NY Metro area, as well as a high degree of resourcefulness towards generating new leads.

Our catering delivery radius includes: (i) all of Manhattan; (ii) a large portion of North Jersey (e.g. Hoboken, Jersey City, Newark, Fort Lee, Englewood, etc.); and (iii) most of Brooklyn / parts of Long Island City / Queens.

Key Responsibilities/Requirements

*Rolodex of previous clients in NY Metro area.* [high priority]
*Resourcefulness and in-depth knowledge of key marketing tools/databases needed to generate valuable, new leads.* [high priority]
Manage all catering inquiries, proposals, contracts, and follow-up communication.
Coordinate event logistics including menus, timelines, staffing, and delivery schedules. Communicate all info to in-store and delivery teams.
Work closely with culinary and operations teams to ensure accuracy and execution.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service and building long-term relationships.
Identify opportunities to grow catering sales and improve operational efficiency.
Proven experience with outside and B2B sales.
Ability to generate direct catering clients and drive business.
Achieve monthly sales goals.
Community outreach and networking.
Prepare outlines/spreadsheets of catering orders and production timeslots for each store daily.
Ensure all orders are successfully charged.

Qualifications

2–4+ years of catering management or event operations experience (NYC experience strongly preferred).
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple events and prioritize urgent needs.
Experience leading and motivating a team.
Attention to detail. Ability to write thorough, concise clients emails. Carefully track any client change requests and document for kitchen teams.
Proficiency with event planning software, Toast, or CRM tools.
Flexible schedule—must be available for evenings, weekends, and event days.
Marketing experience is a plus.
Strong proficiency/efficiency in Microsoft Excel.
