Full Job Description

Job Title: Infection Preventionist (IP)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Infection Preventionist (IP) to join our team at Atlas Rehabilitation and Healthcare at Daughters of Miriam Campus in Clifton, New Jersey. As an IP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of patient safety and infection control throughout our facility. If you are passionate about providing exceptional care and preventing infections, we encourage you to apply for this full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine rounds to identify potential infection control issues and develop recommendations for improvement
Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures
Collaborate with healthcare teams to educate staff on infection prevention and control best practices
Investigate and resolve infection control incidents, including outbreaks and near-misses
Collect and analyze data to monitor infection rates and trends
Develop and maintain relationships with local and national infection control organizations
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and educate staff on quality improvement principles

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
0+ years of experience in infection prevention and control, preferably in a healthcare setting
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
