Full Job Description

Position Summary

The CARE Clinical Supervisor oversees daily operations of the CARE (Co-occurring and Relationship Empowerment) program and assists the CARE Program Director in supervising the CARE clinical and supporting staff. Provides clinical and administrative supervision in accordance with agency guidelines to those staff directly to assure effective and ethical delivery of trauma-informed, wellness and recovery, person-centered delivery of services. Provides strength-based individual, family, and group psychotherapy, and case management. Provides direction as needed in process implementation, policy development, and staff management. Documents clinical and supervisory activity per agency policy. Contributes to agency performance improvement efforts to assure treatment is in accordance with state regulations and accrediting body standards and reports to CARE Program Director. Carries a small caseload. Up to two evening shifts required (12pm-8pm).

Essential Functions

Provides clinical and administrative oversight of the daily operations and service implementation of the CARE program including group supervision, individual supervision, staff meetings, performance improvement, monthly reports, and curriculum oversight and crisis intervention.
Provides strength-based services to individuals and families, including individual, family and various psychotherapy groups
Provides direct supervision in accordance with agency guidelines.
Collaborate/communicate with systems partners including prisons/jails, DMHAS’ Interim Managing Entity (IME), to ensure coordination of care.
Documents all clinical activity and correspondence in accordance with Center policy, state regulations, and Joint Commission standards.
Participates in external, center, program and individual supervision and meetings.
Works closely with the Program Director–CARE on progress towards program goals and to ensure all data collection required for grant reporting is completed
Engages in continuing education to maintain and develop clinical skills, meet agency competency standards and satisfy requirements for ongoing licensure.
Performs other related duties as assigned as one of the essential functions and assumes responsibilities and tasks of persons who report to this position.

Qualifications

Essential

Possess LPC, LCSW or other Master’s or higher-level clinical license and LCADC
Possess a Supervisory certificate (ACS, CCS, etc. plus, supervisory training or coursework)
Must have at least three (5) years’ experience in providing services to individuals and their families/caregivers who have mental health disorders and/or co-occurring substance use disorders and two years of supervisory experience.
Has experience in working across cultures.
Must possess knowledge in formal/informal community systems and resources.
Must have knowledge of Wellness and Recovery Principles, Person-Centered Care, Trauma-Informed Care and Integrated Healthcare.
Must possess a valid NJ driver’s license in good standing.
Skill in the operation of office equipment, including but not limited to computers, printers, copiers, calculators, and other job specific equipment.
Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with colleagues, coworkers, vendors, contractors, and the public.
Ability to accurately prepare and maintain files, records, reports, and logs.
Skill in using computer applications including electronic health record, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
Ability to identify and maintain confidential information.

Preferred

Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Salary: $95,000-$105,000/year
