Tax Manager

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ (Hybrid – 3 Days In Office / 2 Days Remote)

Compensation: Up to $150,000 Base Salary + Annual Bonus + Outstanding Benefits

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established, industry-leading organization seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its Corporate Tax team. This is a highly visible role that offers exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to influence tax strategy while managing compliance, tax accounting, audit support, and planning initiatives across a complex multi-entity organization.

This position is ideal for a CPA with a blend of public accounting and corporate tax experience who enjoys solving complex tax issues, partnering with business leaders, and driving continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage U.S. federal corporate income tax compliance and tax provision activities.
Review federal and state income tax returns, supporting workpapers, and related tax filings.
Support income tax accounting under ASC 740 and related financial reporting requirements.
Conduct technical tax research and prepare memorandums supporting tax positions.
Lead responses to federal and state tax audits, notices, and other tax authority inquiries.
Manage estimated tax payment calculations and compliance requirements.
Partner with Finance, Legal, Accounting, Treasury, and other business functions on tax-related matters.
Evaluate the impact of new tax legislation and recommend planning opportunities.
Identify tax risks while developing practical, business-focused solutions.
Support special projects, process improvements, and strategic tax initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA designation
8+ years of progressive corporate tax experience
4+ years of experience with a Big Four or large public accounting firm
Strong knowledge of U.S. federal corporate income tax
Experience with consolidated tax returns
Experience with ASC 740 income tax accounting
Strong technical tax research and writing skills
Experience supporting tax audits and controversy matters

Preferred

Master's degree in Taxation
Combination of public accounting and in-house corporate tax experience
Experience supporting large, multi-entity organizations
