Full Job Description

Cafe Della is a small neighborhood café in Hailey, Idaho, serving breakfast, lunch, coffee, pastries, and prepared foods made from scratch. Our goal is to serve delicious, seasonal food in a welcoming environment. Our kitchen is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on quality and consistency.

We are looking for a Lead Line Cook / Sous Chef to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining the flow of the kitchen during service, supporting the team, and ensuring that food is prepared with consistency, care, and attention to detail.

Must have 3-5 years of line cook experience.

Full-time, 7 AM - 4 PM *Must be available on Saturdays

Responsibilities

Prepare the line for service and ensure stations are stocked and organized.
Prepare breakfast and lunch items to order with consistency and efficiency.
Help maintain the pace and flow of the kitchen during busy service periods.
Communicate clearly with the front-of-house team to support smooth service.
Support and guide other kitchen staff when needed.
Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and organization.
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Assist with prep, restocking, and keeping the kitchen clean and ready for service.
Help ensure the kitchen is set up properly for the following shift.
Assist head chef with inventory and ordering.

Skills & Qualities

Strong sense of urgency and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced kitchen.
Clear and respectful communication with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Ability to take initiative and help keep service running smoothly.
Positive attitude and willingness to support the team.
Open to feedback and committed to maintaining high standards.

Pay is $22-28/hour and depends on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
