Full Job Description

LAB ANALYST

PriorityLab is a rapidly growing, full service commercial environmental testing laboratory, leading the industry through our superior environmental testing line, Breeze. The laboratory is headed by Dr. John Shane, PhD mycologist and nationally recognized indoor air quality expert. Our teams specialize in offering the fastest turnaround time with industry competitive prices to our expansive customer base in the US, Canada and Virgin Islands. Our services focus on investigating indoor air quality, water testing and asbestos while offering the distinguished mold safe accuracy guarantee to our customers. PriorityLab is currently seeking full-time lab analysts (Microscopist/Microbiologist/Mycologists) for our ever-expanding team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Preparation and analysis of samples for fungi (air, surface, and bulk materials - viable and non-viable samples) and bacteria (water) and FHA water analysis.

-Analysis of samples for microbial and mold analysis.

-Accurately record data in a specified manner.

-Maintain and troubleshoot equipment.

-Perform quality assurance / quality control practices per company Quality Assurance/Quality Control manual.

-Additional duties include approving final reports following quality control and client interactions.

*May be able / required to cross train in asbestos analysis to meet business demands.

*May be able / required to cross train in environmental chemistry laboratory to meet business demands.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Environmental microbiology lab experience is a plus, but not required. Mycology lab experience with air samples and surface samples is a plus, but not required. Must be able to adhere to requirements of the Quality Management System. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required. Attention to detail and able to follow standard laboratory quality control practices. Must be able to distinguish between colors to perform analysis. Must be able to work independently and with a team.

Must be able to work well under pressure and meet client deadlines. Must have good computer skills.

Available Shift: Monday to Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Occasional weekend overtime offered.
