Tax Manager | Hollywood, FL| Hybrid

You probably don't need another Tax Manager job, you might need a better version of the one you've already got.

One where you still get the complex clients, technical work and progression that made you choose Public Accounting in the first place, but with 5 weeks PTO, Summer Fridays, and around half your week working from home.

That's what caught my attention here.

This is a well established, nationally recognised CPA firm with the scale to offer genuinely interesting work, but a culture that feels much less rigid than you'd probably expect.

They're looking for a Tax Manager to join their South Florida team, working predominantly with High Net Worth individuals and families, Professional Services clients, Trusts, Estates and privately owned businesses.

And this isn't just a bigger pile of returns to review.

You'll actually get to advise, and the client work gets pretty interesting.

Complex compensation structures. Business ownership. K1 income. Multi state tax issues. Trusts and Estates. Entity structuring. Partner compensation. Investment Partnerships. Buy ins and buy outs.

You'll oversee engagements across 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120S and 709, but a big part of your role will be looking beyond the return and helping clients make better decisions before tax becomes a problem.

You'll have direct client relationships, work alongside senior leadership on more complex planning and become someone clients actually call when they need advice.

You'll also lead and develop Seniors and Associates, manage workflow and have the autonomy you'd expect at Manager level.

No need for somebody to check whether your Teams bubble is green every 20 minutes.

What they're looking for

6+ years of recent Public Accounting tax experience
Current Tax Manager or an experienced Supervisor ready for the next step
Strong HNW and pass through entity experience
Experience reviewing 1040, 1041, 1065 and 1120S returns
Trust, Estate and Gift Tax experience is particularly valuable
Strong tax planning and advisory experience
Comfortable managing client relationships and developing junior staff
CPA or EA strongly preferred
Happy working a hybrid schedule with around 3 days per week in the office
