D and D Kennel is looking to for a part time kennel technician.
We are currently looking to for someone to work Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. (There may become a weekday available on occasional from 8:00am to 12:00pm, or weekday or weekend shift from 4:00pm to 6:00pm). Must be available weekends Saturdays and Sundays 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This is a fast paced position you must be able to work quickly and efficiently. It is recommend that you be able to lift at least 50 pounds and have experience with animals and customer service.

On a daily basis you will be working with dogs and cats. You will be working both in the kennel area with the animals as well as in the office with their humans. Daily office duties will include speaking to customers, scheduling appointments, answering customer’s questions about our facility and our services (if you are not already familiar with our kennel and our services you will need to learn asap so that you are able to properly inform our customers), answering the phone and returning messages, keeping records together and organized, and cleaning. We are open by appointment between set office hours, but customers do show up at other times – you must be prepared for customers or potential customers who do not have appointments. On a daily basis you will need to care for all boarding animals – you will need to clean/disinfect all enclosures, feed animals, wash dishes, set up food for next feeding, keep track of all pets’ toys/bedding/food, make sure all bedding is clean, do laundry, make sure all animals have fresh full water at all times, make sure the heating/cooling is correctly adjusted for the weather to properly cool/warm animals, keep animals clean and happy.
Attention to detail is very important. You must be able to make sure everything is clean and in order. You must be able to pay attention to the animals’ behavior and well-being, as not all animals we board are friendly – some may be aggressive, and some animals may have some sort of medical condition and require medication and or additional special care.
D and D Kennel is a kennel located at 416 Hartz Rd Fleetwood, PA 19522. At D and D Kennel we provide boarding, grooming, and dog obedience training services.
