Country Store - Farm, Pet & Home

Retail Sales Associate

Stevensville, MT

The Country Store features products in lawn & garden, pet, feed, hardware, livestock, seed, animal health and clothing. Country Stores serve farmers, homeowners, businesses, families and communities in Washington State, Coeur d’Alene, ID & Stevensville, MT.

Ideal candidates will possess a high level of initiative, discretion and independent judgment, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude. Candidates should excel in identifying things that need to be done and figure out a way to do them effectively and efficiently.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet and interact with customers.
Organize and effectively merchandise items for sale.
Demonstrate and explain merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customers’ needs.
Utilize customer-focused selling skills, add-on selling, closing skills, and other sales generating skills.
Accurately complete sales using the point-of-sale system according to established procedures.
Process returns and exchanges.
Monitor all merchandise for correct location assignments, accurate and clean bin labels, expired products, and stock rotation.
Assist customers by loading and unloading products as needed.
Maintain product stock in the store and warehouse.
Assemble products and displays.
Safely perform propane dispenser operations.
Safely operate a forklift and pallet jack.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent.
Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record
Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.
Proficiency using Microsoft Windows
Physical ability to stand for extended periods; bend, stoop and kneel frequently.
Lift, carry, push, pull and load up to 60 pounds.
Have a proven track record of being dependable and reliable.
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Commitment to excellence especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service

SCHEDULE

This position is available either part-time or full-time.

Full-time: 40 hours/week; Part-time: 16-32 hours/week. Sunday through Saturday (schedule will vary). Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$16.80 – $19.80/hour. Upon meeting eligibility benefits, the company offers the following benefits to part-time employees:
