Join our dynamic team as a Seamstress Tailor, where your craftsmanship and attention to detail will bring garments to life! In this vibrant role, you will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing clothing items with precision and care. Your expertise will ensure each piece meets high-quality standards while providing exceptional service to our customers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in garment construction and customer service within a lively fashion retail environment.

Responsibilities

Measure clients accurately to ensure proper fit and comfort for each garment
Operate sewing machines efficiently to construct, alter, or repair clothing items
Follow detailed sewing patterns and garment specifications to maintain consistency and quality
Communicate effectively with customers regarding their tailoring needs and timelines
Perform garment fitting sessions, making adjustments as needed for optimal fit
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure all sewing equipment is properly cared for
Assist in selecting fabrics and materials that align with customer preferences and project requirements

Experience

Previous experience working in fashion retail or a tailoring environment is highly preferred
Proficiency in sewing machine operation and garment construction techniques
Strong customer service skills with the ability to understand and fulfill client requests
Knowledge of sewing techniques, pattern making, and garment fitting processes
Basic math skills for taking measurements, calculating alterations, and managing fabric quantities
Familiarity with sewing tools, materials, and safety procedures is a plus
