Chicago Post Office Employees Credit Union (CPOECU), a $28M financial institution located in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago, IL, is seeking a Part-time Administrative Assistant / Marketing Coordinator to join our fun and dynamic team!
Job Description: The part-time Administrative Assistant provides high-level, professional, confidential, and administrative support to the President/CEO. Performs a broad range of administrative and operational responsibilities and serves as a liaison with the Board of Directors, vendors, and other external stakeholders. This position also supports the credit union's marketing initiatives by assisting with website management, digital communications, and social media, as well as coordinating community outreach activities and other internal and external projects.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality. This individual is committed to contributing to a collaborative, member-focused culture.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the CEO, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, travel arrangements and coordinating appointments.
- Provide a variety of administrative activities including research, report preparation, informational requests, and clerical support.
- Maintain and organize credit union records, policies, and governance documents.
- Maintain office supply inventory, order supplies as needed.
- Assists with scanning documents and accurately maintaining records.
- Assist with credit union marketing, including overseeing website content, assisting with social media posts and preparing quarterly newsletters.
- Plan credit union events (annual meetings, employee and member events).
- Assist with special projects, community outreach, financial workshops, and partnerships with local organizations.
- Other clerical support as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with boards of directors and governance processes is desirable.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
- Experience with content management systems and image/video editing software (i.e., CANVA)
- Ability to prepare professional reports, presentations, and meeting materials.
- Strong proofreading and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Schedule:
- 4-day workweek: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
- This position is an onsite role.
- Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
