Job Summary:
As a Welder/Fitter, you will apply mig welding skills to fabricate or install parts for trucks such as wing plows, front plows, spreaders, dump bodies, and underbody scrapers. A mindset of continuous improvement and outside the box thinking is important, as we constantly try to better ourselves in every aspect of what we do. Best of all, we are a fully employee-owned company where we work together as a team to build a successful and profitable business.
Responsibilities
- Fit and tack weld assemblies
- Finish welds
- Repair parts
- Forklift inspections and driving to move finished products
- Other duties and responsibilities as required; we are a Team, and we support each other.
Qualifications
- A proven ability to be a respected, trusted, and reliable professional
- Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- A demonstrated ability to collaborate up, down, and sideways
- Training and expertise in welding; stainless steel preferred
- Ability to read blue prints/CAD drawings
- Minimum 1 full year of mig welding experience in manufacturing or truck equipment
- HS diploma or GED is required
- Ability to pass a written test
- Preferred consideration for candidates with skilled trades certification and/or college degree
