Job Description
Byers Industrial Services is seeking experienced Metal Roofing & Wall Panel Installers for an industrial construction project in Vineland, NJ.
We are specifically looking for tradesmen with hands-on experience installing R-Panel/PBR exposed-fastener metal roofing and wall panel systems.
This is not a general roofing position. Candidates should have experience laying out, handling, cutting, fitting, fastening, and installing metal roof and wall panels in accordance with construction drawings and manufacturer installation details.
This position requires employees to regularly work from heights and confidently read and interpret construction drawings, elevations, panel layouts, dimensions, and installation details.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install PBR/R-Panel metal roofing systems
- Install PBR/R-Panel metal wall panels and siding
- Lay out roof and wall panels according to project drawings and field dimensions
- Measure, cut, fit, align, and fasten metal panels
- Maintain proper panel spacing, alignment, overlap, and coverage
- Install panels around eaves, rakes, endwalls, corners, bases, openings, and roof transitions
- Install associated flashing, closures, trim, fasteners, sealants, and caulking
- Properly lap, seal, and weatherproof panels and flashing
- Read and interpret construction drawings, elevations, dimensions, panel layouts, and installation details
- Translate construction drawings and field measurements into accurate field layout and installation
- Verify measurements and field conditions prior to installation
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used to cut, shape, fit, and secure metal panels
- Safely handle, stage, and position metal roofing and wall panels
- Maintain high standards for fit, finish, alignment, and overall workmanship
- Follow all company and project-specific safety requirements
Required Experience
- Previous experience installing R-Panel, PBR, or similar exposed-fastener metal roofing and wall panel systems
- Metal roofing and/or metal building siding experience required
- Must be able to read and work directly from construction drawings
- Strong layout, measurement, and field fabrication skills
- Experience installing metal flashing, trim, closures, sealants, and caulking
- Proficient with hand and power tools associated with metal panel installation
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, drill, fasten, and fit sheet metal components
- Understanding of proper panel overlap, fastening, sealing, and weatherproofing practices
Working at Heights – REQUIRED
Candidates must be comfortable working from heights.
This project requires installation of metal roofing and wall panels at elevated working locations. Candidates must be capable of safely working from ladders, scaffolding, and appropriate elevated work platforms while properly utilizing required fall-protection equipment.
If you are not comfortable working from heights, this position will not be a fit.

Pay: $30.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
