Experienced Bookkeeper
As a Bookkeeper, you will manage the day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients across a variety of industries. You will work closely with our accounting team and clients to ensure their books are accurate, up to date, and ready for financial reporting and tax preparation.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to work independently while knowing when to ask questions or escalate an issue.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete bookkeeping functions for multiple clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks Online.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Record and categorize transactions accurately.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Review transactions and account activity for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and other financial reports.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies and unusual transactions.
- Communicate with clients to obtain missing information and resolve bookkeeping questions.
- Work closely with accountants and tax professionals to ensure client books are complete and accurate.
- Prepare organized books and supporting documentation for tax preparation.
- Maintain accurate electronic client files and documentation.
- Manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Proactively identify issues and recommend solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of client bookkeeping.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Strong, hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Experience managing bookkeeping for multiple clients is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations, general ledger, A/P, and A/R.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned clients.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in a CPA, accounting, or bookkeeping firm is a significant plus.
