Full Job Description

Job Summary

· Qualification Requirement: 3 years’ experience in set-up and troubleshooting injection molding machines. The ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions. Must be able to safely operate a die cart and forklift. Must be able to work on a team and get along with others.

· Reports to: Shift Foreman

· Special Circumstances of the Job: In the absence of a Foreman, will be required to perform duties. Must be willing to work overtime.

· Job Duties/ Quality responsibilities/ other duties: May stop a machine that is running unsafely and which he/she cannot correct. Directs Material Handlers and Operators when necessary. Trouble Shoots problems as they arise on the floor. Ensures that jobs conform to specifications on Work Orders (i.e. Correct Material, Proper Regrind Ratios). Notifies Foreman of machinery problems. Make sure work station and a surrounding area are clean. Perform operator’s jobs during breaks is required. Sets and removes molds. Performs start-up and cycling-in of molds. Ensures that all Necessary documentations posted at press. Completes set-up checklists. Maintains mold racks. Work closely with shift supervisor. Performs machine maintenance when required. Attend shift change meeting when required. Must follow all safety procedures. Must be able to lift 80lbs. Responsible for insuring that all jobs on their shift meet the customer specifications and quality system requirements.

· Expectations: Reduction of machine downtime due to process correctable parameters.
