Full Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team! This role is responsible for leading all aspects of the organization’s recruitment and selection processes and serves as a strategic partner to leadership and hiring managers to ensure staffing needs are met efficiently and effectively. A key focus of this position will be developing and maintaining strong partnerships with colleges and universities to build a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates, foster community engagement, and promote career opportunities aligned with our mission. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a vital role in delivering a positive candidate experience while upholding the organization’s values and commitment to excellence.

The Barry Robinson Center is a residential treatment facility serving military-connected youth, with a non-profit mission to improve the lives of children and their families. We are seeking an HR professional with a passion for recruitment, a talent for cultivating relationships with higher education institutions, and a strong appreciation for the impact each hire has on fulfilling our mission.

Responsibilities

Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for open positions across all departments
Partner with department leaders to understand workforce needs to proactively address anticipated openings
Collaborate with Marketing department to develop new and creative recruitment strategies
Create and maintain job postings that accurately reflect position requirements and organizational culture
Source candidates through multiple channels, including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and community partnerships
Build and nurture partnerships with colleges, universities, and community organizations to enhance the visibility and reach of the JBRI brand (Estimated out of office including travel: 30%)
Partner with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to design and execute effective engagement strategies
Responsible for managing intern inquiries/submissions as well as talent development aspects for the organization
Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate interview logistics with hiring teams
Maintain accurate and compliant recruitment records within the applicant tracking system (ATS), time to fill metrics, and a weekly staffing report
Monitor recruiting metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and recommend improvements
Represent the organization at career fairs, community events, and professional networking opportunities
Ensure proper fiscal responsibility in recruitment related tasks and responsibilities
Ensure all recruitment practices align with organizational policies and employment law requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruiting/talent acquisition
Strong knowledge of employment laws, recruitment best practices, and sourcing techniques
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience with applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms, Paycom preferred
Preferred candidate has experience in healthcare settings as well as an understanding of CARF and DBHDS requirements
