Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of nursing administration and a commitment to enhancing the quality of care provided in our facility. This leadership role is crucial in overseeing nursing practices, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Duties

Assistant the Director of Nursing to develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with regulatory standards and best practices.
Oversee patient care services, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and review individualized care plans for patients.
Conduct regular documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Utilize knowledge of physiology to inform clinical decisions and enhance patient outcomes.
Assist with Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments to ensure comprehensive patient evaluations.
Monitor quality assurance programs and implement corrective actions as necessary to improve care delivery.

Experience

A valid nursing license with experience in nursing administration is required.
Strong understanding of MDS processes, care plans, and documentation review systems.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide nursing staff effectively.
Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Personal Skills and Traits Desired

Must be able to work independently. Requires good communication and human relation skills to interact with residents, families and staff. Strong problem-solving skills are necessary with the ability to collect, compare, sort and prioritize information to be used in the decision-making process for residents.
