Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cement Mason to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the installation, finishing, and repair of concrete and masonry structures. Your expertise will help bring construction projects to life, ensuring they meet safety standards, quality specifications, and client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to renovation sites, utilizing your technical skills and construction experience to deliver exceptional results.

Duties

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute concrete and masonry work according to project specifications.
Mix, pour, spread, and finish concrete using hand tools, power tools, and concrete mixers to create durable surfaces such as floors, sidewalks, and foundations.
Install rebar reinforcement and metal studs as specified in construction plans to strengthen concrete structures.
Construct formwork and scaffolding for concrete pouring and ensure proper alignment and stability during the curing process.
Cut, shape, and install various masonry materials including brick, stucco, tile, and stone for both structural and aesthetic purposes.
Operate heavy equipment such as concrete pumps or mixers safely while adhering to construction workplace safety regulations.
Perform restoration or renovation work on existing structures with precision craftsmanship in plastering, caulking, roofing, or flooring installation as needed.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and heavy machinery safely.
Proficiency in construction estimating and interpreting construction plans or blueprints with accuracy.
Experience working on diverse construction projects including commercial buildings, residential renovations, or restoration sites.
Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
Skilled in concrete forming, finishing techniques such as troweling or polishing, concrete cutting, pouring, and pumping.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics for precise execution of masonry tasks.
Competence in metal stud framing, drywall installation (including trim carpentry), tile laying, stucco application, roofing work, and masonry craftsmanship.
