Position: Scanning Clerk - Mail Room Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Scanning Clerk to help convert paper records into organized digital files. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in accuracy, and is comfortable using computers and office equipment.

Responsibilities

Prepare paper documents for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, and repairing damaged pages.
Operate high-speed document scanning equipment.
Review scanned images for quality, readability, and completeness.
Index and organize digital files according to established procedures.
Perform basic data entry and maintain accurate records.
Safely handle confidential and sensitive documents.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Meet daily productivity and quality goals.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Windows.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
Able to lift up to 30 pounds and remain seated or standing for extended periods.
Previous experience with document scanning, records management, or office administration is a plus, but not required—we're happy to train the right candidate.
