We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee financial operations related to real estate assets, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective financial management. Your expertise will support our continued growth and operational excellence in property management and development projects.

Job Description:

Staff Accountant needed for Property Management Company in Annapolis, MD.
Conducts monthly financial package preparation for multiple properties as assigned.
Serves on the accounting staff and supports CFO in accounting software leadership training and accounting operations. Provides support and training to the field members in use of leasing software.
Produces financial reports and custom reports as required for lenders, equity partners, regulators and owners.
May be asked to supervise the work of more junior accountants.
May be asked to complete corporate payroll filing and related accounting.
Position can become hybrid after period of initial work experience with Severn.

Skills/Experience:

Proficient in Microsoft suite especially strong Excel skills
Strong accounting background, especially reconciliation and journal entry
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in training, coaching, supervising, and evaluating staff members
Affordable Housing Programs
At least 5 years’ experience with Yardi Software or similar RE financial system
Training: 1 year (Preferred)

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
