Location: This is an in-person position with an office in Orford, NH.
Employment Type: Full Time with excellent benefits.
Salary Range: $115,000 TO $125,000 Depending on Education & Experience

Qualifications & Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior supervisory, Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or comparable experience strongly preferred
- Strong general accounting knowledge, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and month-end close
- Experience working with a general ledger in a multi-entity or similarly complex accounting environment preferred
- Experience with Sage Intacct strongly preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Healthcare, behavioral health, human services, education, or nonprofit accounting experience is a plus
- CPA or CPA candidate and/or audit experience is a plus, but not required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to help oversee day-to-day accounting operations across Moosilauke Visions & Affiliates. This hands-on role will own key accounting processes across multiple entities and programs, support an accurate and timely month-end close, review reconciliations and journal entries, maintain general ledger integrity, and supervise and develop accounting staff. The Accounting Manager will work closely with finance and operational leadership to strengthen controls, improve processes, and support a growing and complex organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the monthly accounting close process across assigned entities and programs, including:
- Preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and month-end schedules
- Ensuring transactions are accurate, complete, and recorded in the appropriate accounting period
- Review general ledger and balance sheet activity, investigate unusual or unsupported balances, and resolve reconciling items timely
- Oversee and support accounting functions that may include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, cash application, and related accounting processes
- Supervise, train, develop, and review the work of accounting staff, with clear responsibilities, deadlines, and accountability
- Support multi-entity and intercompany accounting, including reconciliation and resolution of intercompany balances
- Prepare and review cash, bank, debt, fixed asset, prepaid expense, payroll, benefits, and other account reconciliations as assigned
- Help maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures; identify opportunities to standardize, document, and improve accounting processes
- Assist with annual financial statement audits, tax filings, auditor schedules, and supporting documentation
- Work closely with the Controller and VP of Finance on accounting issues, financial reporting needs, acquisitions, integrations, and special projects
- Collaborate with program leadership and other departments to resolve accounting questions and use Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel to analyze financial information and improve workflows
