Are you mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to learn a skilled manufacturing trade? We are seeking a Production Machine Operators to support the operation of industrial looms used in the production of high-quality wire cloth. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As a Production Machine Operator, you will learn the fundamentals of wire weaving, monitor loom performance, assist with machine operation and setup, and help ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. Successful candidates are dependable, safety-conscious, and motivated to develop new technical skills.
What You'll Do
- Operate assigned loom machines to meet daily production goals.
- Record production data, including machine start/stop footage and operating performance.
- Retrieve and stage fill wire supplies to ensure continuous production.
- Monitor loom operation and make minor adjustments as needed.
- Repair broken wires, dropped wires, and missing fill wires to maintain product quality.
- Perform routine quality inspections to verify mesh accuracy, pattern integrity, and proper tension.
- Report machine malfunctions and activate signal systems when maintenance support is needed.
- Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
- Enter daily production information into computerized systems.
- Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, and operational updates across shifts.
- Assist with preventive maintenance activities, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures and 5S standards.
- Participate in training programs and support a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Basic computer skills for production reporting and data entry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn new skills and procedures.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing setting and requires the ability to:
- Work in a hot, oily, and noisy environment.
- Work a regular shift schedule with reliable attendance.
- Work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequently use hands for detailed tasks such as threading wire, repairing breaks, and making machine adjustments.
- Lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 60 lbs., with or without lifting equipment.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach to perform inspections, repairs, and cleaning tasks.
- Visually inspect wire cloth, machine components, and product quality.
- Hear and respond to machine alarms, equipment changes, safety alerts, and verbal instructions.
