JOB TITLE: REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN I (RBT-I)
Reports To: Clinical Director/ABA Director/Program Director
Work Schedule: Part-Time/Full-time Contract Position
Work hours are set according to client/family needs. High demand usually in the late afternoon to evening hours and on the weekend.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services as an independent contractor under clinical supervision required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Clinical supervision does not constitute employment supervision and exists solely to meet professional and ethical standards. The Contractor retains control over the manner and means of service delivery within the scope of the treatment plan and BACB requirements.
The RBT-I will be provided with ongoing on-the-job training and supervision until skills required for the position are fully developed and demonstrated. RBT-I will provide patients with high quality ABA services in the form of direct one-on-one behavioral interventions to assist in developing independent and functional living skills, monitor their behavior, record and collect data on progress, and communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

You should have excellent communication and time management skills, and be able to develop and maintain relationships with clients, supervisors and colleagues. RBT-I must adhere to guidelines set by, both, the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and All Things are Possible 4 Autism (ATAP 4 Autism) policies and procedures. Additionally, the RBT-I will be provided with opportunities to assist with creation of materials in support of the treatment plan and corresponding programming, as well as keeping client’s binders updated.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Contributes to ATAP 4 Autism’s mission, vision, and program philosophies by way of work product and professional behavior with both internal and external consumers.
- Adheres to all current federal & state laws, as well as ATAP 4 Autism’s Policies and
Procedures, including the safeguarding of confidential healthcare information and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Provides direct client care in one-on-one and group settings utilizing a combination of ABA treatment protocols to include Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT), Natural Environmental Teaching
(NET), and Pivotal Response Training (PRT).
- Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions, developed by the BCBA/BCaBA, utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation when necessary.
- Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationship by pairing self as a reinforcing entity and building the value for the client of social interaction with the BHT-I.
- Selects safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills.
- Fades prompts appropriately to promote both successful and independent responding.
- Increases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by
providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands or aversive situations).
- Accurately collects behavior data including: A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, and interval based recording.
- Provides regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals. Effectively communicates with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the
BCBA/BCaBA.
- Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment.
- Educates parents on reinforcement and early intervention information.
- Educates all those involved about the role of ABA based interventions and operates within boundaries of the/(BHT-I) role in providing treatment.
- Utilizes safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with members.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
- Collaborates with treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals, other stakeholders and co-workers.
- Attends training to acquire further knowledge and keep abreast of changes/new developments within the ABA field of practice.
- Reports immediately any suspected incidents of child abuse or neglect to the Child Protective
Services (CPS) Child Abuse Hotline.
- Enters demographic data, contacts made, and other required data for all newly assigned members into Catalyst in a timely manner i.e., 24 hours. Likewise, maintains accurate, concise and timely documentation of contacts/sessions with the family (also to be completed within 24 hours after services have been delivered.)
- Provides a minimum of 25+ hours of billable services per week. Maintains a caseload of four to five member/families.
- Takes initiative to request new case assignments as caseload numbers drop due to discharge and/or upcoming discharge.
- Provides input and support in reassessing the needs of the child every 90 days in coordination with the family and other team members in order to modify the service plan to reflect the progress or lack of progress.
- Attends staff / agency meetings as required.
- Completes other duties as directed by the ABA Director, BCBAs/BCaBAs and Program
Coordinator.

- Ability to interpret and implement ABA treatment protocols.
- Must maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to lift and carry members with adaptive equipment.
- Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be willing and able to utilize block and redirect procedures as indicated in the Behavior
Intervention Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior.
- Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
- Must be physically present at the assigned job location, which may include home, school, and community placements.
- Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
- Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License & auto insurance in good standing.
- Must be able to obtain three (3) employment references: 2 Personal and 1 Professional.
- Cleared criminal background check and signed statement regarding felony indictments/convictions and cleared drug screen.
- Cleared TB test results (current within 12 months prior to employment)
- Must possess a working cellular telephone.
- Professional Liability Insurance is required.
- Maintain active RBT certification and required credentials
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required: active RBT certification
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Required: High School Diploma/GED up to 4 years experience with the population
- active RBT certification
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
- Employment Supervisor: Program Director
- Clinical Supervisor: ABA Director
RELATED TRAINING:
- Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and training once employed including, but not limited to: CPR, RBT training and other company in-service and training as directed by employment or clinical supervisor.
