Position Summary
Reporting to the HR Director, the Senior HR Generalist / HRBP plays a central operational and strategic role across our U.S. manufacturing operations. Working 100% on-site in Harmony, PA, you will partner closely with plant leaders to deliver full-cycle HR support, foster a positive workplace culture, and manage U.S. multi-state payroll for both hourly (blue-collar) and salaried (white-collar) employees.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR Generalist from a manufacturing or industrial background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident navigating U.S. employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll & Benefits Administration (Mandatory)
- Process and review U.S. multi-state payroll accurately and in full compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Administer employee benefits programs, manage open enrollment, and handle benefits inquiries.
- Maintain accurate HRIS and payroll records, ensuring data integrity.
2. Employee Relations & HR Governance
- Serve as the primary HR partner for managers and employees across our U.S. facilities.
- Provide guidance on performance management, coaching, discipline, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, COBRA).
- Maintain employee files, support audits, and recommend policy updates as legislation evolves.
3. Workforce Planning, Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for both hourly plant workers and salaried staff.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and execute workforce planning.
- Coordinate engaging onboarding and orientation activities for new hires.
4. HR Leadership, Strategy & Engagement
- Define, implement, and follow a local HR plan aligned with company business objectives.
- Guide managers and supervisors using a coaching approach to build strong employee relations.
- Foster a high-performance culture, drive retention, and lead employee engagement initiatives.
5. Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Lead and participate in HR improvement projects to streamline processes through technology and automation.
- Collaborate with Corporate HR on strategic programs and ensure HR metrics/KPIs are tracked effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of progressive HR Generalist experience strictly within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Mandatory Skill: Proven, hands-on experience processing U.S. multi-state payroll.
- Workforce Expertise: Demonstrated success supporting both hourly (blue-collar) and salaried (white-collar) employees.
- Legal Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment legislation (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, COBRA).
- Presence & Mobility: Ability to work 100% on-site in Harmony, PA, and travel monthly to our Indianapolis facility (3–4 days).
