Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Director of Operations to lead and scale day-to-day operations across manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics for a growing medical technology company. This role owns the design, execution, and continuous improvement of operational systems that ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient, reliable delivery as the company scales.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and execution focused, capable of building processes from the ground up while driving measurable operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end operational execution across manufacturing coordination, inventory, procurement, logistics, fulfillment, and vendor management
- Build and scale workflows, SOPs, and operational systems to support production growth and organizational efficiency
- Establish and track KPIs (e.g., throughput, cost, quality, delivery performance), identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead production planning, resource allocation, and vendor management to ensure readiness and on-time delivery
- Partner cross-functionally with leadership to align operations with business priorities
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards (FDA, cGMP, quality management systems, and industry requirements)
- Lead operational cadence (meetings, reporting, forecasting) and drive accountability across teams
- Build and manage the operations function, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
- Lead a portfolio of operational initiatives, including grant and contract management, ensuring compliance with GMP requirements, fulfillment of client commitments, and alignment with strategic business objectives
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain roles with increasing responsibility
- Experience operating in regulated environments (medical device, healthcare, or similar), including cGMP and quality systems
- Strong track record of building and improving operational processes and systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, rapid growth environment
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project execution skills
Preferred
- Experience in a startup or scaling manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with FDA regulations and quality systems (QMS)
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems, inventory management, and operational dashboards
- Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) or similar operating frameworks
- Experience with project portfolio management (PPM) processes and associated software within a biotech, manufacturing, or pharmaceutical environment.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience

Work Environment
This role operates across office, warehouse, production, and manufacturing settings in a fast-paced start-up environment and requires regular collaboration with leadership, operations, manufacturing personnel, suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.
Physical Requirements
- This role requires regular movement between office, warehouse, and production environments
- May involve standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday
- May occasionally require bending, reaching, and lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds
- Requires the ability to work in a manufacturing environment and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed

Pay: $150,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
