Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in collecting blood and other specimens with precision and care. Your expertise will ensure accurate sample collection, proper handling, and seamless communication with patients and healthcare providers. Duties

Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture techniques with skill and professionalism
Prepare and label specimens accurately to ensure reliable laboratory testing results
Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards at all times
Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, ease anxieties, and provide exceptional care
Manage specimen documentation meticulously, including recording collection details and handling logs
Assist with processing specimens for transportation to laboratories promptly and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and ready for use

Skills

Proven proficiency in venipuncture techniques and blood collection procedures
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to comfort and communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
Strong attention to detail for accurate specimen labeling, documentation, and record keeping
Knowledge of safety standards related to bloodborne pathogens and infection control practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy under pressure
Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) or electronic health records (EHR) is a plus
Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (e.g., CPT or equivalent) from an accredited program is highly preferred
