## Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced **Business Development Executive** to expand GNH USA’s international pharmaceutical export business. The successful candidate will identify and convert qualified buyers, distributors, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, CROs and procurement organizations that require medicines, hard-to-source products, comparator drugs or specialized supply-chain solutions.
This is a revenue-focused, client-facing role requiring practical experience in pharmaceutical exports, international sales, product sourcing and cross-border trade. The candidate must be comfortable managing the complete business-development cycle—from prospecting and qualification to quotation, negotiation, order coordination and relationship management.
## Key Responsibilities
### Business development and sales
- Identify and develop new customers across international pharmaceutical and healthcare markets.
- Generate leads through market research, email outreach, LinkedIn, industry databases, referrals, trade networks and existing business contacts.
- Develop relationships with pharmaceutical importers, wholesalers, distributors, hospitals, pharmacies, CROs, clinical-trial sponsors, procurement companies and government or institutional buyers.
- Understand customer requirements, including molecule, brand, strength, dosage form, quantity, market, required documents, delivery timeline and target price.
- Promote GNH USA’s pharmaceutical sourcing, named-patient supply, comparator sourcing, clinical-trial supply and contract-manufacturing capabilities.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals, product options, quotations and supply solutions.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, Incoterms and other commercial conditions within approved company guidelines.
- Convert qualified opportunities into purchase orders and repeat business.
- Develop country- and product-specific business plans for assigned markets.
### Pharmaceutical export coordination
- Coordinate with sourcing, procurement, regulatory, quality, logistics, finance and customer-service teams to fulfil client requirements.
- Support the preparation and review of export-related documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, certificates of analysis, batch documents, GDP-related records and other customer-specific documentation.
- Understand the practical requirements of international pharmaceutical shipments, including import permits, product registration considerations, temperature-controlled logistics and destination-market documentation.
- Ensure that quotations and commitments are aligned with product availability, shelf life, batch status, regulatory feasibility and shipping requirements.
- Track orders from confirmation through dispatch, delivery and post-shipment follow-up.
- Escalate supply, quality, documentation, payment or logistics issues promptly and professionally.
### Account management
- Maintain regular communication with existing customers and develop long-term commercial relationships.
- Identify opportunities for repeat orders, alternative products, additional markets and broader sourcing requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer, contact, opportunity, quotation and order information in the CRM.
- Prepare weekly sales reports, pipeline updates, forecast reports and activity summaries.
- Monitor competitor pricing, market demand, customer behaviour and emerging pharmaceutical-sourcing opportunities.
- Represent GNH USA professionally in virtual meetings, industry events, trade discussions and supplier/customer interactions.
## Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, life sciences, business, international trade, supply-chain management or a related field.
- **4–6 years of experience in pharmaceutical exports, international pharmaceutical sales, pharma sourcing or healthcare B2B business development.**
- Demonstrated experience in exporting or selling medicines to international customers.
- Working knowledge of export documentation, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of analysis, certificates of origin, HS codes, Incoterms and international payment terms.
- Practical understanding of pharmaceutical products, including generic medicines, branded medicines, specialty products, cold-chain items and hard-to-source medicines.
- Experience working with overseas distributors, importers, hospitals, pharmacies, CROs, clinical-trial companies or pharmaceutical procurement teams.
- Proven ability to generate leads, manage a sales pipeline and convert prospects into customers.
- Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with international clients.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems, spreadsheets, email outreach and virtual meeting platforms.
- Strong commercial judgement, negotiation ability and attention to detail.
## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the US, Canada, European, Middle Eastern, African, Asian or Latin American pharmaceutical markets.
- Exposure to comparator sourcing, named-patient or special-access supply, clinical-trial logistics, contract manufacturing or cold-chain distribution.

- Knowledge of Zoho CRM, Zoho Books or comparable CRM and business systems.
