Full Job Description

Estimator / Project ManagerOverview

Centerline Fabrication is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing team. This position is responsible for estimating, coordinating, and managing structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects from bid through project completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong estimating, project management, communication, and organizational skills while maintaining our commitment to quality, customer service, and safety. Join a growing fabrication company where your expertise will directly contribute to the success of projects throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Duties

Prepare accurate cost estimates for structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects.
Review structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents.
Perform material takeoffs and develop project budgets.
Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Prepare proposals, qualifications, exclusions, and clarifications.
Manage projects from award through closeout, including scheduling, procurement, documentation, and customer communication.
Coordinate with detailing, purchasing, production, quality control, and shipping to ensure successful project execution.
Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Monitor project costs, labor hours, and profitability.
Coordinate material procurement and delivery schedules.
Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and general contractors.
Attend project meetings and support field coordination as needed.

Skills

Experience estimating and managing structural steel or miscellaneous metals projects.
Strong ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
Knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes and construction documents.
Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revu, and construction estimating software.
Strong Excel skills for estimating, budgeting, and cost analysis.
Knowledge of AWS welding codes, AISC standards, and public works projects is preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
