Bring Your DME Expertise to a Team That Values It

If you've worked in DME, HME, Complex Rehab, or medical insurance authorizations, you understand how much happens behind the scenes before a patient ever receives their equipment. Accurate documentation, insurance approvals, and proactive communication are essential, and that's where you come in.

Blackburn's is looking for an experienced Complex Rehab Coordinator to oversee the administrative and insurance side of Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) orders. You'll serve as the central point of coordination between referral sources, therapists, physicians, ATPs, patients, and insurance providers to help keep orders moving from referral to delivery.

This position is best suited for someone who enjoys managing complex cases, solving insurance challenges, and ensuring patients receive the mobility equipment they need as efficiently as possible.

In This Role, You Will

Coordinate Complex Rehab patient orders throughout the entire reimbursement process.
Verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations from Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
Review clinical documentation to ensure payer requirements are met before submission.
Maintain ongoing communication with physicians, therapists, ATPs, referral sources, and insurance representatives.
Monitor pending authorizations, identify delays, and proactively resolve issues.
Track documentation requirements, prescription renewals, and order milestones.
Maintain complete and accurate electronic records while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Support reimbursement efforts by assisting with denials, additional documentation requests, and payer follow-up.
Work closely with internal teams to provide a seamless experience for both patients and referral partners.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

At least two years of experience in DME, HME, Complex Rehab, medical billing, insurance verification, or prior authorizations.
Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance guidelines.
Experience managing multiple patient accounts with accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Confidence using computer systems and electronic medical documentation.

Preferred Experience

Complex Rehab Technology (CRT)
Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) workflow
Insurance appeals and denial management
Medical equipment reimbursement processes
