Full Job Description

Chitra Productions is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer / Equipment Specialist - Mechanical Systems to join our team in Mechanicsburg, PA providing technical support for Naval Sea Logistics Command engineering department.

The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing technical documentation and logistics engineering data in a DoD (or related commercial organization) environment in support of a Program Office or Integrated Logistics Supply Management Team (ILSMT).

Do you have a military background in a technical (mechanical/electrical) rating/MOS or have you worked for a Defense contractor in a similar role? Then we’re looking for you.

The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing, using and/or preparing technical documentation for mechanical systems and the related experience with connecting the information between the technical documents used and the automated databases.

Position Responsibilities:

Assesses, processes and tracks Technical Data Packages, Technical Data Package-Imports, Approved Engineering Changes, and Approved Engineering Alternatives in support of U.S. Navy mechanical systems in Ships, Submarines and ashore.
Prepares and submits related reports to the Government team.
Reads and interprets drawings, schematics, technical data, etc. to apply this information in the development, assessment, or review of related activities.
Perform quality review of the technical, testing and test reporting requirements of a procurement for parts/material and makes changes and recommendations as necessary.

Position Requirements:

United States Citizenship.
An Active Secret Clearance.
A Technical Degree (such as Mechanical Engineering or closely related field).
Experience with preparing/assessing technical documentation related to DoD weapons systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience with marine (shipboard) systems utilized in U.S. Navy vessels (surface or submarine) though Navy specific experience not required.
Experience analyzing, writing, interpreting and applying information from technical drawings, diagrams and documentation.
Experience utilizing automated information system databases containing technical documentation.
Experience in one or more of the following preferred:

Contractor Integrated Technical Information Service (CITIS);

Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System (JEDMICS);

Integrated Technical Item Management and Procurement (ITIMP);

Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS).

Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
Must have a valid United States Driver’s License.
Proficient with MS Office Suite programs, such as, Excel, Word and Outlook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
