Dental Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator

Rina Singh DDS

West Shore Smiles – Camp Hill, PA

We are seeking an experienced, energetic Dental Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This is a dynamic position and an important role within our dental practice. The right candidate will be personable, organized, confident with patients, and experienced in both dental front-office operations and billing.

Dental experience is required. Dental assistants who have significant front-desk experience and are ready to transition into a primarily administrative role are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of dental experience required
Strong working knowledge of Dentrix
Dental billing and insurance experience
Experience with insurance verification, patient eligibility, and benefit breakdowns
Understanding of dental insurance terminology, coverage limitations, deductibles, annual maximums, and patient financial responsibility
Experience with CareCredit
Strong communication and customer-service skills
Professional, positive, and comfortable interacting with patients both in person and by phone
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Able to multitask and work effectively in a busy dental office

Key Responsibilities

Welcome patients and provide an exceptional front-office experience
Answer phones and assist with patient scheduling
Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
Review insurance coverage and estimated patient responsibility
Assist with dental billing and insurance-related follow-up
Discuss payment options and CareCredit with patients
Maintain accurate patient information in Dentrix
Help keep the daily schedule organized and productive
Communicate effectively with the dentist, hygienists, assistants, and other front-office team members
Provide administrative support wherever needed to help the practice run efficiently

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for more than someone to simply answer phones and schedule appointments. This person will be a key member of our dental team and will play an important role in the patient experience and the financial health of the practice.

The ideal candidate takes ownership of their responsibilities, communicates well, enjoys working with patients, and understands how a well-run front office contributes to the success of the entire dental team.

Applicants without dental experience will not be considered.

If you have at least five years of dental experience and are looking for a position where your knowledge and experience will be valued, we would love to hear from you.
