Full Job Description

Moore Ingram Johnson and Steele, LLP is a full service 100+ lawyer A.V. rated firm based out of Marietta, GA with 8 locations across the United States.

We are looking for a self-motivated legal assistant to ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management in our Camp Hill, PA office. You will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of an attorney. Our ideal candidate is reliable, responsible, and eager to learn!

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to attorneys and enhance office effectiveness.
Handle communication with clients, as needed.
Prepare case briefs and summarize depositions.
Locate and develop case relevant information.
Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence.
Answer and direct phone calls.
Maintain contact lists.
Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars.
Assist with large document production.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills

Proven working experience as legal assistant or legal secretary.
Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system.
Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office.
Computer literacy.
Working knowledge of case management software - CLIO experience is a plus.
Excellent secretarial and organizational skills.
Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure.
Have at least one year experience with workers comp defense work and/or at least one year experience working as a legal assistant.
Experience and knowledge of the PA workers comp court system and filings.
Experience with editing, revising, and drafting of legal documents.
Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information.
Ability to meet deadlines and produce high quality work products.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
