Director of Retail Marketing

Atlantic Pure Energy Water & Air

Pure Energy Water & Air is a 35-year family-owned company and one of the nation’s leading retail marketing organizations in the home improvement industry. As a trusted service provider for The Home Depot, we operate across multiple states with continued expansion planned.

We are seeking a Director of Retail Marketing to lead the performance, development, and continued growth of our retail marketing organization throughout New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and the Greater Philadelphia market.

This leader will directly oversee a team of six Territory Retail Managers responsible for recruiting, training, coaching, and developing our in-store marketing teams.

This is more than a field management position. We are looking for a leader who can develop strong managers, build scalable teams, use data to improve performance, strengthen our retail partnerships, and create the operating discipline necessary to support continued growth.

The right candidate will be comfortable in both environments: in the field developing leaders and at the table helping shape strategy.

What You’ll Own Leadership & Talent Development

Lead, coach, and develop six Territory Retail Managers across a multi-state operation.
Build a strong management bench by identifying, recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing leaders.
Establish clear expectations and accountability while creating a culture centered on performance, development, and continuous improvement.
Develop Territory Managers to operate with greater ownership and independence while maintaining consistent company standards.
Identify talent gaps and create development and succession strategies that support the continued growth of the organization.

Performance & Operational Excellence

Own retail marketing performance across the assigned markets, including staffing, productivity, lead generation, and profitability.
Analyze KPIs and market-level performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring corrective action.
Translate performance data into clear action plans and hold leaders accountable for execution and results.
Identify underperforming markets and work through Territory Managers to develop and execute improvement strategies.
Establish consistent operating rhythms, expectations, and best practices across territories.
Ensure company standards, processes, and compliance expectations are consistently executed throughout the organization.

Field Leadership & Accountability

Maintain a strong field presence throughout the assigned markets to understand conditions firsthand and develop leaders where the work happens.
Conduct regular market and store visits focused on coaching Territory Managers, evaluating team performance, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Lead structured performance reviews, weekly leadership meetings, and individual coaching sessions.
Create a culture where accountability is clear, performance is measurable, and leaders understand both what is expected and why it matters.

Strategic Partnership & Growth

Build and maintain strong relationships with The Home Depot store and district leadership.
Represent Pure Energy Water & Air professionally and effectively within one of our most important strategic partnerships.
Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities, solve operational challenges, and execute company growth initiatives.
Help develop repeatable systems and leadership structures that allow the retail organization to scale successfully into additional markets.
Support market expansion by ensuring the leadership bench, staffing model, training processes, and performance standards are capable of supporting continued growth.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive multi-unit retail, field sales, or marketing leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience directly leading, coaching, and developing managers responsible for their own teams.
Proven ability to drive measurable performance across multiple locations, territories, or markets.
Strong recruiting, interviewing, talent-development, and team-building skills.
Demonstrated ability to use KPIs and performance data to identify problems, establish priorities, and drive corrective action.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build credibility with frontline employees, managers, business partners, and executive leadership.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance strategic priorities with field execution.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and the Greater Philadelphia region.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
