Location: Hartford, CT (On-site facility with light local travel)

Position Type: Part-Time (10 to 20 hours per week)

Pay: $45 per hour

Reports To: Assisted Living Services Agency (ALSA) Supervisor / Resident Care Director

Position Summary

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Registered Nurse (RN) Designee to join our assisted living community in Hartford, CT. This is an administrative-heavy nursing position perfect for an RN who excels at organization, clinical documentation, and utilizing digital healthcare platforms.

In this role, you will assist in managing resident care compliance, coordinating health services, and conducting initial assessments. As our community grows, this position offers a unique opportunity for gradual professional growth and expanded responsibility for a dedicated nurse looking to develop their administrative leadership footprint.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Oversight: Maintain accurate clinical records, update Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), and ensure full compliance with Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) and ALSA regulations.
Technology & Systems Management: Utilize and manage Electronic Health Record (EHR) software, scheduling tools, and internal communication platforms to streamline department operations.
Client Intake & Onboarding: Conduct comprehensive health assessments for incoming residents.
Light Travel: Travel locally within the greater Hartford area to meet with prospective residents, coordinate transitions, or perform initial assessments during client onboarding.
Clinical Supervision: Monitor medication administration systems, coordinate with pharmacies and physicians, and supervise assisted living aides to ensure high-quality care.
Collaborative Care: Act as a key liaison between residents, families, physicians, and community staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

Active RN License: Must hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Connecticut.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience is preferred, with at least 1 year in home health, assisted living, or community health settings (consistent with CT state requirements).
Prior experience in nursing administration, care coordination, or a supervisor-support role is highly valued.
Tech-Savvy: Strong proficiency with computers, EHR platforms, and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace). You must feel comfortable learning and navigating new digital workflows.
Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional local travel to onboard new residents.

Schedule & Compensation

Hours: Part-time, approximately 10 to 20 hours per week.
Schedule: Flexible day shifts (to be coordinated with the ALSA Supervisor).
Pay Rate: Competitive, commensurate with experience.
