We are currently searching for a Workday Adaptive Planning Senior Manager to join our growing Baker Tilly Digital Advisory Services consulting practice. As a member of our team, you will support organizations who have selected Workday Adaptive Planning as their Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solution. The Workday Adaptive Planning Senior Manager will be part of a team that implements, supports, and uses Workday Adaptive Planning to help clients improve their financial reporting, planning and forecasting processes. As part of this team, the position will work with a wide variety of projects and roles.
Role Summary
Provides strategic leadership for the Workday Adaptive Planning practice through business development, executive client relationships, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) subject matter expertise, project delivery oversight, and people development and leadership.
Responsibilities
Manage Workday Adaptive Planning implementations from end-to-end while providing client with industry leading practices to meet their business operational goals ensuring successful project delivery within scope, timeline, and budget
Lead client working sessions to define goals and objectives for their planning cycles, and document key segments and metrics that will enable them to enhance their financial planning and analysis function to improve reporting automation
Oversee and execute multiple concurrent Workday Adaptive Planning implementations and optimization engagements as the solution architect for complex planning transformations, providing guidance on model design, security, reporting frameworks, workforce planning, and industry leading practices
Lead client implementations – specifically the design, configuration, testing, support, customization, and optimization of our clients’ financial reporting, forecasting and planning system in Workday Adaptive Planning
Own the strategy, architecture, and delivery of complex integrations using JavaScript, SQL, APIs, JDBC, and other enterprise integration platforms to incorporate data from a wide variety of ERP and source systems into Workday Adaptive Planning
Spearhead process improvement projects, such as identifying and implementing reporting and data efficiencies to reduce client time compiling data
Execute enterprise process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize financial planning, reporting, and data management processes that reduce manual effort, improve operational efficiency, and enhance executive decision-making
Serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs, FP&A leaders, Controllers, and Finance Transformation leaders on budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and enterprise performance management strategies
Manage project scope, budgets, timelines, risks, and resource allocation
Drive sales and business development efforts by generating pipeline, acquiring new clients, expanding existing accounts, and building strategic relationships to accelerate revenue growth
Coach and develop team members to achieve performance goals, foster collaboration, and maintain a high‑accountability culture
Stay current on Workday Adaptive Planning product enhancements and emerging trends in financial planning and enterprise performance management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; major in accounting, finance, and/or information systems preferred
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), financial systems, or consulting required
Minimum of 8 years Workday Adaptive Planning implementation experience and advisory experience required
Proven experience leading minimum of twenty end-to-end Workday Adaptive Planning implementations across multiple industries and client environments
Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and SQL, with the ability to design, configure, implement, and troubleshoot end-to-end integrations using APIs, JDBC, and other integration methods. Proven experience leading integrations from requirements gathering through deployment, testing, and ongoing support
Minimum of 6 years of corporate financial accounting experience required
Minimum of 3 years of corporate financial planning experience required
Consulting experience is required
Experience managing multiple project workstreams, project budgets, and client relationships
Prior people management experience, including mentoring and developing consulting teams
Deep knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning model design, integrations, administration, reporting, OfficeConnect, dashboards, and scenario planning required
Experience integrating Workday Adaptive Planning with ERP and other financial systems
Strong background of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and financial data flows
Ability to demonstrate and present Workday Adaptive Planning solutions to prospective and existing clients required
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
Able to articulate business value of systems enhancements or process change
Able to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
Experience with process improvement and root cause analysis required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to travel as needed, approximately 20%
The compensation range for this role is $178,310 - $338,030. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
