Full Job Description

Opportunity for individual with office and bookkeeping skills to join a small accounting firm located in Lake in the Hills. Ideal candidate will have prior bookkeeping experience, good organizational abilities, phone and communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and handle an ever-changing workload. An interest in finance, accounting and taxation would be desirable.

Bookkeeper Job Responsibilities:

Prepare accounting records in QuickBooks by compiling, entering and analyzing account information.
Reconcile bank, credit card and loan accounts.
Use Intuit payroll features to generate payroll and payroll tax payments.
Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns.
Prepare sales and use tax returns.

Bookkeeper Qualifications / Skills:

Excellent Data Entry Skills
Ability to Prioritize and Meet Deadlines
Attention to Detail and Accuracy
Confidentiality
Familiar with a Wide Range of Financial Transactions.
Basic Understanding of Accounting Principles.
Efficient in Microsoft skills in Word, Excel and Outlook

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

Proficient in QuickBooks for Desktop and Online

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Experience:

Bookkeeping: 2 year (Preferred)
QuickBooks: 2 year (Preferred)

Additional Information:

Full-time or Part-time – minimum 24 hours per week
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour based on experience
Benefits – SIMPLE IRA program, vacation, and holiday pay
