Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The X-ray Technician will play a critical role in patient care by ensuring high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

Perform X-ray examinations on patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal images while minimizing radiation exposure.
Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and assist in diagnosis.
Document all procedures accurately in patient records, including coding for billing purposes.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control standards.
Provide compassionate care to patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their comfort during procedures.
Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for accurate imaging interpretation.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions for imaging techniques.
Must be able to work collaboratively in inpatient settings.
