Join Our Team at Masha Sorkin & Associates

Job Title: Remote Relationship Therapist— Part-Time, Caseload-Building Position About the Practice

Masha Sorkin & Associates is expanding into a virtual group practice specializing in relationships at every stage — from dating and breakups to couples therapy, communication difficulties, intimacy concerns, affair recovery, attachment, parenting challenges and major relationship transitions.

We are building a small, highly skilled team of clinicians who genuinely enjoy relationship-focused work. Our goal is not to become a high-volume therapy company. We want to create a practice known for excellent relationship therapy and a workplace where clinicians can develop expertise, feel supported, and build a long-term professional home. As a small and developing practice, there will be a lot of opportunities for input and growth.

Open Positions:

We are looking for independently licensed clinicians interested in joining our practice on a part-time, caseload-building basis, with the opportunity to grow over time.

This is a fully remote position.

Because clinicians will be credentialed with insurance plans through the practice, this is not an immediate full-caseload position. Insurance credentialing can take several months, and referrals will build gradually as credentialing is completed.

Therefore, this position is particularly well suited to a clinician who currently has another source of income or an existing part-time position and would like to gradually transition into a relationship-focused group practice where they can have agency over their schedule and support.

Our goal is to develop a true "work family" that focuses on quality rather than quantity.

Clinical Focus

Our clinicians work with adults and couples experiencing concerns including:

Dating and relationship difficulties
Breakups and divorce
Attachment and relationship patterns
Communication and conflict
Couples therapy
Premarital concerns
Affair and betrayal recovery
Sex and intimacy concerns
Anxiety as it relates to relationships
Major relationship and life transitions

Clinicians do not need to be established couples therapists. We are also interested in excellent individual therapists who are excited about developing deeper expertise in relationship-focused work.

What We're Looking For

Independent clinical licensure in the state of Massachusetts
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Genuine interest in relationships, attachment, dating, couples, intimacy, or related concerns
Comfortable providing telehealth
Reliable and timely with documentation and communication
Interested in professional growth and consultation
Looking for a practice to grow with rather than simply a short-term source of referrals
You will need to obtain malpractice insurance coverage

Training in Gottman Method, EFT, EMDR, sex therapy, attachment-based approaches, or other relationship-focused modalities is a plus but is not required.

Important Information About Building Your Caseload

We want applicants to have realistic expectations about joining a growing practice.

New clinicians will go through insurance credentialing before being able to see many insurance-based referrals. This process may take several months depending on the insurance company.

We will begin marketing clinicians while credentialing is underway for self pay clients, but we cannot guarantee a specific number of referrals or a specific timeframe for reaching a desired caseload.

For this reason, clinicians should not leave an existing full-time position expecting an immediate full caseload with us. We envision this as a gradual transition in which the clinician's schedule grows as credentialing is completed and referrals develop.
