Full Job Description

Important:

On-site location at 15 Artisan Dr, Salem, New Hampshire, 03079, for an independent contractor ONLY. WE PREFER YOU ARE ROUGHLY 30 MINUTES FROM THIS LOCATION.

Schedule: One day per week, 2 hours per week for 25 weeks (50 hours total), on client's preferred schedule: Fridays 2 hours between 2 pm and 6pm (alternative availability: Tuesdays 4 pm-6 pm)

Contract length -

25 weeks total or 50 hours total teaching time.

The start date is the week of July 6th (or after).

Fluency Corp is a privately-owned group of talented instructors that want to take English-language teaching/executive language coaching (building fluency, polishing, improving communication) to a new level for the employees that we work with.

We not only teach our students English through relevant, interesting conversation (as we all learned our first language!), but we motivate them to keep learning by communicating with others in the community or coworkers and trying new ways to learn that truly boost fluency, like watching TV and making friends. We also give highly customized lessons based on the client's job and interests.

What we are looking for: energetic, passionate instructors who can engage hardworking employees in relevant job and daily life conversations.

You must :

Have 5+ years teaching ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE - SPECIFICALLY to adults in a one-on-one or small group setting.
Have experience creating communicative and relevant lessons for professional B2+ level English private classes
Ability to assess your client's needs/goals during the first week of lessons and decide on a plan of action to help them specifically improve communication of their job in English and help them lead their teams in English more effectively and confidently
Be able to fill out a goals form and quarterly progress reports
Adjust to client needs for specific conversations pertaining to their jobs and daily life.
Be always on time (preferably early)
Be able to assess the client and find out what is most important and relevant for the lessons (an intake form will be provided from our original assessment)

Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and share best practices in adult language education.
