Full Job Description

About LAFP

Los Angeles 1st Preschool Education Center is a California State Preschool Program (CSPP) contractor serving approximately 72 children and their families in Los Angeles. We operate with stable state funding through the California Department of Education and participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Our team is small, experienced, and committed to high-quality early education that meets every Title 5 and licensing standard. We are looking for a site supervisor who wants to lead a program, not just manage one.

Position Summary

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the preschool site. You will manage teaching staff, ensure compliance with Title 5, Title 22, and CACFP requirements, oversee curriculum implementation, and serve as the primary point of contact for enrolled families. This role reports directly to the Executive Director and requires someone who can operate independently, solve problems, and maintain the standards that keep our program funded and our families served.

Program Operations

Manage daily site operations including scheduling, attendance tracking, and incident documentation
Ensure full compliance with Community Care Licensing (Title 22), Title 5 regulations, and CACFP meal service requirements
Maintain all licensing documentation, inspection readiness, and required postings
Coordinate meal service and ensure CACFP records are accurate and audit-ready
Manage enrollment paperwork, family fee documentation, and eligibility verification in accordance with CSPP requirements

Curriculum & Child Development

Supervise implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with the California Preschool Learning Foundations
Oversee child assessments including DRDP and ASQ screenings
Ensure individualized learning plans are maintained and updated for all enrolled children
Support an inclusive classroom environment that serves children of all abilities and backgrounds

Staff Supervision

Directly supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff and assistants
Manage staff schedules to maintain required adult-to-child ratios at all times
Facilitate professional development, training compliance, and regular team meetings
Conduct classroom observations and provide actionable feedback

Family & Community Engagement

Serve as the primary point of contact for families at the site
Communicate regularly with parents regarding child progress, program updates, and policy changes
Handle parent concerns directly and professionally
Build and maintain partnerships with community resources and family support services

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
