The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

From screenings and diagnostics to life-saving, intensive care, our patients can count on a patient-centric approach that puts their comfort and well-being at the forefront of everything we do. Our medical center serves as a regional referral, teaching hospital and is also outfitted with the latest technologies to assist our professionals in providing the highest standard of care for patients of all ages.

Qualification:

Required:

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
NJ RN license required

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Enrollment in BSN program required within 6 months of hire
Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and demonstrated writing skills

Certifications and Licenses Required:

Active NJ RN License
BLS certification through American Heart Association
ACLS certification required within 6 months from date of hire
Complete 8 hours of continuing education in the area of cerebrovascular disease annually

Scheduling Requirements:

Night Shift – 7:00pm – 7:00am
Part Time
Every other weekend required. Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs

Essential Functions:

The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital's Mission and goals through established policies, procedures and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient's age specific needs and determine age specific treatment modalities.
