Bookkeeper

Position Title: Bookkeeper
Department: Accounting
Reports To: Controller

Bookkeeper – Inventory Accounting

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the Accounting Department with inventory-related accounting functions. This position is responsible for accurately posting parts inventory invoices, vehicle invoices, assisting with physical inventory counts, and reconciling inventory records to the accounting books.

Key Responsibilities

Post parts inventory invoices accurately and timely in the accounting system.

Post new and used vehicle invoices, ensuring all costs, credits, and related charges are recorded correctly.

Review invoice documentation for accuracy, proper approvals, and supporting backup before posting.

Assist with monthly physical inventory counts for vehicles and parts.

Compare physical inventory results to accounting schedules and identify discrepancies.

Reconcile parts inventory and vehicle inventory balances to the general ledger.

Research and resolve inventory variances in coordination with Parts, Sales, and Management.

Maintain organized records of invoices, reconciliations, and inventory reports.

Support month-end close by ensuring inventory postings and reconciliations are completed on time.

Communicate discrepancies promptly to the Controller or Accounting Manager.

Requirements

Prior bookkeeping or dealership accounting experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to meet deadlines and follow accounting procedures.

Experience with CDK or dealership systems is a plus.

Basic understanding of inventory accounting preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
