Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of inventory and shipments within the warehouse facility. This role supports receiving, put-away, order picking and packing, inventory counts, and general warehouse organization, while assisting other warehouse and manufacturing tasks as needed. The Warehouse Associate reports to the Materials Manager and works closely with the Receiving and Inventory Clerk and Shipping Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

Report to Materials Manager
Receive incoming shipments and assist with checking against packing slips/purchase orders
Move materials and inventory throughout the facility
Meticulously inspect and organize stock
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for outbound shipping
Perform duties that may include packing, scanning, kitting, or counting products
Verify orders, label products, and use a handheld scanner
Operate tools such as ladders, forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits
Perform basic data entry to help keep inventory records up to date
Report discrepancies to the Materials Manager
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Support other warehouse and manufacturing tasks as needed
Participates in bi-weekly process improvement exercises
Lift and transport materials (up to 80 lbs as needed)

Qualifications & Requirements

Forklift Operation (certification preferred)
Basic Math Skills
Experience working in ERP preferred; willingness to learn required
Experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
Proficient with laptop computers, Windows OS, Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite Applications
Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 80 lbs
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull
Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
Good attendance and dependable work ethic
Strong problem-solving and logical thinking abilities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
