Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Lead to join our vibrant culinary team! As a Kitchen Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a lively, efficient environment. Your leadership will inspire team members, uphold food safety standards, and deliver outstanding dining experiences. Duties

Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure high-quality standards are met consistently
Lead and motivate kitchen staff through effective training, coaching, and team management to foster a collaborative and productive environment
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
Oversee food safety and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures
Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking with accuracy
Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth service flow during busy hours
Assist in menu development and culinary innovation to enhance customer satisfaction and restaurant reputation

Requirements

Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong cooking skills
Demonstrated leadership in supervising hospitality teams or managing kitchen staff effectively
Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for transaction processing and reporting
Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to health regulations
Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis to support operational efficiency
Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing, staff training, and team leadership
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations swiftly
Prior experience in casual dining or fine dining settings is highly desirable; banquet or catering experience is a plus
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
