Aspen Acres is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Executive Director to lead our Assisted Living community. This leadership role is responsible for the overall management and daily operations of the community, including resident care, regulatory compliance, financial performance, team leadership, business development, and family satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who is passionate about serving seniors, building strong teams, and creating a welcoming environment where residents can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Community Leadership & Operations
- Direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the assisted living community.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and licensing regulations.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve community programs and services.
- Collaborate with ownership and leadership teams to achieve strategic and operational goals.
- Maintain community readiness for inspections through regular audits, policy reviews, and quality assurance initiatives.
Financial & Business Management
- Partner with ownership to review monthly financial reports and explain budget variances.
- Manage community budgets and monitor expenses to ensure financial sustainability.
- Identify opportunities to increase occupancy, revenue, and ancillary services.
- Support community growth through effective sales, marketing, and resident retention efforts.
Team Leadership & Human Resources
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate community team members.
- Oversee payroll processes and ensure HR compliance.
- Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture through communication, coaching, and team development.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, in-services, and ongoing training programs.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and provide coverage support when needed to meet resident care needs.
Resident Care & Family Relations
- Ensure residents receive high-quality care and services while protecting resident rights and dignity.
- Educate staff, residents, and families on resident rights and community policies.
- Oversee admissions, pre-admission screenings, move-ins, service plans, and care coordination processes.
- Address resident, family, and team member concerns promptly and professionally.
- Partner with department leaders to promote resident satisfaction and quality-of-life initiatives.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with assisted living regulations, policies, and standards of care.
- Enforce OSHA regulations and workplace safety procedures.
- Investigate and document incidents, injuries, and safety concerns.
- Lead emergency preparedness efforts and ensure staff understand emergency protocols.
- Utilize quality assurance measures, tracking, and trend analysis to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
- Active Assisted Living Administrator License in the State of Wisconsin.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care.
- Strong knowledge of assisted living regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Experience with budgeting, financial management, payroll oversight, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and resident care planning.
- Experience with occupancy management, marketing initiatives, and community outreach.
- Familiarity with community resources, healthcare networks, and senior service providers.
