Full Job Description

We are an accounting and business-consulting firm providing Client Centric Solutions in financial reporting and tax planning, as well as compliance and operational consulting services in Hazle Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. We are seeking a skilled accountant with at least 1-2 years experience to assist with payroll services, accounting services and income tax compliance services, and to develop long-lasting relationships with our clients.

Job responsibilities include:

To work hand in hand with clients and prepare paychecks, payroll quarterly tax returns, and annual payroll tax filings
To compile financial data provided by clients and reconcile general ledger activity to assist with completion of a compilation.
Complete bank reconciliations in Quickbooks and perform analytical review of all accounts to correct balances
Prepare responses to Federal, state or other government agency notices and track response deadlines and work on deadlines with team members.
Collaborate with and provide information to senior members of our team, as needed.
Support client staff with the use of accounting software.
Assist with tax and accounting issues affecting clients.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through ongoing communication and exceptional service.
Prepare quarterly Federal, State, and Local payroll tax filings

Qualifications and skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting helpful
2-3 years’ experience in accounting, or similar experience in industry
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of the federal tax, state tax, and local tax
Working knowledge of professional tax software
Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to clients
Able to work in a fast-paced environment

This is a full-time position with benefits or a part-time position. Our office is conveniently located on Route 309 in Hazle Township, with unlimited parking.

Benefits: We offer benefits for full-time employees including paid time off which starts with a min of two weeks after a min waiting period. Additionally we offer medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance again after a min waiting period. Our compensation package will be commensurate with education and experience.

Additionally there is a part-time position available for 25-30 hours with no benefits to an experienced accountant.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
