Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry & Product Information Specialist to maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date information across company systems. This role is responsible for entering, reviewing, validating, and organizing data related to products, pricing, promotions, inventory, customers, and digital records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in spreadsheets and business systems, and able to spot inconsistencies before they become larger issues.
Responsibilities
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate data in company systems, spreadsheets, databases, and digital records.
- Review source information for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and proper formatting before entering or updating records.
- Identify and correct data discrepancies, duplicate records, missing information, and formatting issues.
- Maintain product, pricing, promotional, inventory, customer, and vendor information according to established guidelines.
- Perform routine data audits and quality checks to support clean, reliable information across systems.
- Organize digital files, documents, reports, and reference materials so information is easy to locate and use.
- Communicate with internal teams to clarify missing details, resolve data questions, and confirm information before updates are made.
- Support catalog, website, reporting, and operational updates by preparing and validating accurate data.
- Follow data confidentiality, accuracy, and documentation standards when handling company information.
- Recommend process improvements that reduce errors, improve efficiency, and make data easier to maintain.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry, proofreading, and record maintenance.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, online forms, and business software systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, basic formulas, and organizing large sets of information.
- Ability to review information carefully, identify inconsistencies, and ask questions when details are unclear.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage recurring tasks and deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle business information responsibly.
- Previous experience in data entry, administrative support, catalog maintenance, operations, customer service, or a related role is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or experience in business, administration, data management, or related areas is a plus.
- Leveraging AI tools such as co-pilot, Firefly, Gemini to increase efficiency.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
